This Saturday, President Trump’s long-awaited military parade celebrating the Army’s 250th birthday (and his own 79th) might not go as planned. Over 6,000 troops, tanks, and military aircraft will parade through Washington, showcasing American power. But nature—and politics—have other ideas.
There’s stormy weather threatening to ruin Trump’s parade, while protests about “No Kings” are set to take over. Demonstrations are protesting Trump’s militaristic moves in California and the escalating U.S. role in Israel’s missile defense. With polls showing 64% disapproval of the spectacle, it’s shaping up to be less “Mission Accomplished” and more “Mission Complicated.”
