Last night, the Trump administration dropped a bombshell: thousands of previously hidden files on Martin Luther King Jr.’s assassination. Over 230,000 pages were released, including FBI memos, investigation notes, and new info on King’s killer.
But don’t hold your breath for a smoking gun just yet. Historians say there’s nothing new, and the most controversial records—the infamous FBI wiretaps of MLK—remain sealed until 2027. King’s family urged caution, pointing out these files came from the same FBI that tarnished their father’s legacy.
Meanwhile, some critics wonder if Trump’s latest media controversies and Epstein drama are just a shiny distraction. It seems history is still keeping secrets—even when the files hit the table.
