America added 379,000 millionaires in 2024, that’s over 1,000 a day, according to UBS’s latest Global Wealth Report. There’s a lot of credit to go around for a booming stock market (the S&P 500 went up 23%) and a strong dollar.
Over half of all new millionaires last year were Americans, but before you start feeling left out, here’s a fun fact: The average American still has $312,000 in wealth. Yet here we are, still waiting—browsing Netflix menus and debating whether or not to add guac to Chipotle. Maybe next year.
